Responsible for maintaining an optimal Club experience for elementary kids with a focus on fun, mentorship, safety and building character. YDPS's must be able to engage and support a group of 15 youth (training is provided during onboarding to support youth behavior and teach basic classroom management tactics).

Hallmark of a great Youth Development Professional: the ability to build and maintain strong and lasting relationships, excellent verbal communication skills, follows instruction, is able to perform independently and as a team member, is adaptable, and invested in youth skill-building and creating a fun, valuable, and worth-while experience for kids ages 6-18.

Club Administrative Specialist

Full-time position with benefits package: medical, vision, dental, children of employees attend Club for free

Club Administrative Specialist is responsible for customer service, general office management, timely family communication, and membership enrollment. Leadership opportunities include training creation, management, and facilitation of skill-building sessions for all part-time Club Admin staff (up to 6 at any given time). Training sessions may include best practices in customer service, hospitality, communication, and technical skills. This position serves as the 'hub' of all Club activity and is a vital component to a successful running program.

REQUIRED PRIOR TO HIRE: Clean background and drug screening

Director of Finance and Compliance

The Director of Finance and Compliance is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all financial functions including accounting, payroll, financial operations, receivable and payable management, employee benefits, insurance coverage, grant fiscal compliance and management, public support fiscal compliance and management, legal requirements, systems, and controls.

This role also is responsible for establishing and managing the public grant qualitative performance systems and reporting process.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or business administration, a minimum of one year of work experience managing the accounting functions in a non-profit agency, business, or equivalent experience, thorough knowledge and proficiency in budgeting and accounting practices, processes and procedures, proficiency in software systems including QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.

REQUIRED PRIOR TO ONBOARDING: clean criminal background check and drug screen.

The Director of Resource Development reports directly to the CEO and plays a key role in developing, cultivating, stewarding, and retaining corporate and individual donors and prospects. This role collaborates with the CEO, board members, and relevant committees to meet short and long-term goals that advance the BGCC mission.

The Director of Resource Development manages a portfolio of individual and corporate donors and builds valuable relationships with major gift prospects.

REQUIRED SKILLS: relationship management, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, organizational skills, strong networking skills, and public speaking.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: bachelor's degree, additional fundraising credentials/certifications/degrees a plus, minimum of 7 years of active solicitation and demonstrated success in major-gift fundraising with a focus on prospect identification, relationship building, and solicitation. Proven experience and knowledge of the full spectrum of development, including planned giving, gift solicitations, stewardship, donor recognition, and administration.

Club Supervisor

Supervises, coaches and manages overall daily operations of a Club site under the control of the organization with the primary concern for a comprehensive, outcome-driven program and service delivery, supervision and training of staff (direct and indirect reports), personnel issues, management of a facility, develop and manage a budget, actively engage and support a Club site Advisory Council, community relations, volunteers, and membership administration.

Primary responsibilities include creating an excellent club experience driven by the 5 key elements of positive youth development: safety, positive environment, fun, supportive relationships, opportunities and recognition. site programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success and that create a club environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.

Club Supervisors manage 1 of the 5 Club sites and ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment, and supplies are maintained.

REQUIRED SKILLS: the ability to plan and communicate the plan to the team as well as hold self and others accountable for their part in the plan, the ability to coach others, develop talent in others, self-regulate emotions and handle stressful situations professionally, must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate to school administration and families, must have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, must be willing to take direction and give direction, ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience. A minimum of three years work experience in a Boys and Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience, demonstrated ability in staff and volunteer supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.

Summer LitCamp Instructors: M-F, 1pm-3pm, June 12-August 11

  • LitCamp lessons are already crafted and ready to implement with no lesson planning needed! LitCamp is a summer-specific curriculum filled with fun, creative, and engaging content. Literacy-specific experience not-required. Hiring individuals who can bring daily lessons to life in a fun and engaging way. LitCamp begins June 12th - August 11th, M-F, 1 PM - 3 PM for all age groups each day at the main clubhouse (1200 N. 7th Street, Columbia, MO)
