Boys & Girls Clubs of the Columbia Area Names Martina Hoyt-Vail as Chief Executive Officer

Columbia, MO – April 25, 2024:

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Columbia Area (BGCCA) announced today that the Board of Directors has unanimously named Martina Hoyt-Vail as the next Chief Executive Officer effective March 31, 2024.
Hoyt-Vail joined the Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Area in August 2022 as the Director of Youth Experience. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and will complete a Master of Public Affairs in May 2024. Before the Club, Hoyt-Vail served as the Site Manager for the Jumpstart program at the University of Missouri for 14 years. She has spent her career working in educational nonprofit programs and strives to support our members to realize their own potential.

“I am excited to build sustainable partnerships and systems that celebrate our Club’s rich history while embracing our future. I am confident that the Club will continue to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our community and families,” said Hoyt-Vail.
BGCCA Board Chair, Dr. Bob Churchill said, “I am very happy that Martina has accepted our offer to become the next CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Area. She has the talent and creativity to transform our Boys & Girls Club from great to amazing. I look forward to working with Martina in the years to come.

As CEO, Hoyt-Vail’s responsibilities include leading the organization’s strategic direction, oversight of organizational operations, financials, programming, brand reputation, talent recruitment, resource development and stakeholder relationships. The CEO also serves as the organization’s primary ambassador and lead communicator. Hoyt-Vail, in partnership with her outstanding team, will oversee the organization and reports to BGCCA current Board Chair, Dr. Bob Churchill.
